Skyrim for PC

Hey
I just bought skyrim for my Windows 8, HP Pavillion G6. The game is almost unplayable. The screen keeps flashing and flickering and within 5 minutes the sound gets choppy. How do I fix this?

I have a Pavilion G6, which was my first computer. I also suppose that the GPU inside is the AMD Radeon HD 6480g. Sorry to tell you, but the GPU is not powerful enough, as so with the CPU. I had the exact same problems with mine. Though the screen was actually tearing in half and one half was purple and red.

My gpu is amd radeon hd 7600m and my CPU is intel(r) core(tm) i5-3210m cpu @ 2.50ghz with 4 GB of RAM

The i5 is, obviously, fine. But, depending on which of the 7600M series you have, looking at tests it will run on the medium graphic setting at best, but more than likely a low setting. High or ultra settings will make it stutter.

Have you tried running in windowed mode?
