Today, the oldest living pianist and Holocaust survivor, Alice Herz-Sommer, passed away at the age of 110. Despite her age, she was still living on her own in a little flat in London. She practiced the piano 3 hours a day.
I found this video a few months ago. It is an 12 minute video about her life, and one of the most touching things I've ever seen. Since she passed today, I figured to post it here. I promise you it's worth it to watch it. She is a very inspirational person, and I think we can all learn a lot from her positivity and strength.

I saw that story in our paper this morning. A movie about her ("The Lady in Number 6") is up for an Oscar. It's always sad when a piece of history dies.
