Combat preferences: Valrin prefers to use his bow, killing enemies before they enter within range, but he is very good at using his sword as well. He always coats his weapons with poison before battle and oftentimes drinks potions to.
Backstory: Valrin grew up in Windhelm, living in the grey quarter with his father, mother, and younger sister. They made a living with his father as a Worker in the fields and his mother part of the cleaning staff in the palace. Valrin himself started to help out the family at the age of 14 by hunting the various animals of the north and selling their pelts and meat to passing caravans. His life in Windhelm ended when he was 20. One day one of the many drunken Nord gangs that wandered about the grey quarter at night got their hands on some torches and oil. They decided to start burning the houses of the dark elves. Valrin’s house was one of those which they chose. As the blazing inferno engulfed his home his family tried to make their escape. They all made it except for his mother, who was hit by a falling support beam close to the exit. Driven Insane with grief and rage Valrin’s father attacked the drunken Nords. Many other grey quarter residents who hated the Nords joined in on the attack, including Valrin himself. As they killed several of the Nords the town guard arrived. Instead of breaking up the fight, however, they assisted the Nords and slaughtered the poorly armed Dunmer. Valrin’s father was slain and he himself was badly wounded. He would have died had not his sister, Zelfina, dragged him of the battlefield and into one of the burn out buildings. Upon his recovery Valrin learned that the guards had covered up the massacre by saying all the people had died in the ‘tragic house fire’. Upon hearing this Valrin wanted to kill every single last Nord in Windhelm, if it had not been for his sister he would have done just that. Instead he left Windhelm, traveling to Solstheim. He lived there for four years in Raven Rock before deciding to travel back to Skyrim, hoping to help others being oppressed. His Sister stayed in Raven Rock as she had found a husband and had a child on the way. For seven more years Valrin wandered skyrim, going back to visit his sister occasionally and communicating through letters. Then when the Stormcloaks finally won the war against the empire Ulfric showed his true colors and passed a decree stating that the island of Solsthiem was to be taken back from the Dunmer and all Dunmer on the Island were to go back to their homeland of Morrowind. Furthermore he passed several laws severly limiting the rights of non-human citizens. Many Kajiit’s and Argonians were killed for no specified reason. Valrin hastened back to Solsthiem, worried for the safety of his sister and her family, unfortunately he arrived too late. Stormcloak forces had already arrived on the Island and Valrin Entered Raven Rock to find hundreds of houses on fire, people running and screaming and Stormcloaks soldiers running rampant through the streets killing. When Valrin found his sisters house the entire family had already been slaughtered. The rage he had felt upon his fathers death rekindled within him, this time twice as powerful. He rampaged through the streets, attacking the Stormcloaks with reckless abandon until he was finally subdued and taken back to Windhelm to be executed. Fortunatly Valrin was able to escape Windhelm and set out with a new goal in mind. To destroy the Stormcloaks however he could.
