The quest For The Acmulac

The Acmulac is a dangurous artifact. There will be many challanges, Will Drapor and Elsa overcome them?

 

[Aerin]

(OOC - I'll just kick it off from where we left it in the tavern)

Rubbing her hands together Elsa looked around. A stormy wind was blowing in off the harbour and not even the town's high walls were able to shield Windhelm from the bitter cold. Blowing hot air across her fingertips the nord looked around for the bosmer she had just been talking to.

Wandering over to the brazier outside the tavern she nodded to Silda, one of the city's beggars. Glancing around she wondered what this job would entail. Maybe she'd get to break in somewhere exciting.

 

[Drapor]

Drapor appeared behind her. "This way" He said and nodded he walked behind the tavern. more of a private setting. " So, Is there anything else you would like to know before we talk about payment?" He tried to sound soothing.

 

[Aerin]

Following Drapor behind the tavern, Elsa folded her arms and leant against the wall. Sniffing gently she tilted her head to the side as she considered his words.

"I need you to be honest with me. No keeping back information, no lies. I may be a thief but I can't do my job if I don't have all the facts. I expect half my payment before the job and the rest to be paid after. Does that sound fair to you?"

 

[Drapor]

(00C-Sorry this is kinda long)

Drapor smiled "You are smarter then most, How about 2000 Gold?" Drapor gave here 1000 "This should be more then needed, Now for the facts. The orb was made by the King himself. He wanted to see the Future. But as you can see not much has changed, So he sealled his soul away. Wanting to see thousands of years into the Future. You nords are a stuborn race, We could have much more technology if it werent for your hobour and glory. Also The dragon soul as its name can allow the summoner to live forever But it can also raise the Summoners Skills Dramaticly. If the wrong man summons him...." Drapor didn't finish his sentence. "That is all I know, so far." Drapor smiled and showed here where he had last felt the energy. which was at the gray quarter.

 

[Aerin]

"2000? Fine." Taking the coin she stowed it away in her pack. Smiling at the elf's shrewd view of nords she nodded and shrugged her shoulders. "Alright, I see your point. Let's track this artefact down as soon as possible."

Following the elf to the grey quarter she grimaced at the salty tang of the air mixed the distinct odour of stale sweat and mead. Wrinkling her nose she kept a close eye on the bosmer, wondering where he was leading her.

 

[Drapor]

`Drapor stopped in the snow. He lked left and right. "This is where i felt the Orbs Energy last" Drapor said turning around. "This is where i Felt the dark energy last, Any ideas?"

 

[Aerin]

Looking about Elsa thought for a moment. "Well I'd ask around. You could try the New Gnisis Cornerclub, you could ask the barkeep there if he's noticed anyone suspicious come into town. I doubt I'd be recieved well so maybe you should try there. I could check over at Calixto's. Someone may have tried to sell the orb to him." Tightening her cape around her body Elsa continued. "We could always ask the beggars. They're the eyes and ears of the city, something like this wouldn't pass by them easily."

 

[Drapor]

"Your words are true" Drapor said " Ill check the Cornerclub you go to Calixtos" Drapor spinned around and walked in that direction soon gone in the snowfall. "Once i find this orb.... I will be free" He muttered to himself opening the door.

 

[Aerin]

Nodding Elsa set off. Calixto's was known for collecting and exhibiting the most exotic of items. The man was alleged to have a book which would reveal your destiny. Snorting with derision at the thought Elsa quietly made her way through the streets till she came across the right door. Stepping inside she looked around the gloom and shadows till her sharp eyes caught a flicker of movement. Getting closer she realised Calixto was sleeping. Well, she could work with that.

Careful not to wake the man, Elsa moved silently through the museum, her eyes easily picking out details of objects in the dark. She had no idea what this orb was supposed to look like, but she assumed that whatever it is looked like something she'd usually pick up. Resigning herself to the dull task she wondered how the elf was fairing.

 

[Drapor]

As drapor walked in the room went silent and he walked moving his hand in a horizontal line lifting all the items in the room and he looked around. "No orb" He muttered to himself. He smiled then left all things crashing to the floor.

 

[Aerin]

As she flicked through various items Elsa wondered what exactly she should be looking for. Out of the corner of her eye Elsa spotted a strange glint, the reflection of light looking almost blue. Sneaking past the sleeping Calixto Elsa silently grabbed the small blue disc. There were peculiar markings around the rim and she found herself practically unable to draw her gaze away. Shaking her head she slipped it into her pack, back away until she was outside the museum.

Rubbing a hand over her face Elsa walked over to the Cornerclub, hoping Drapor was finished inside. The disc was far to strange to be ignored. It was unlikely, but perhaps it had something to o with this mysterious orb the elf was searching for.

 

[Drapor]

As Drapor walked out he sat Elsa."Nothing in there" He said "Did you find anything useful?" Drapor knew she had somthing becuase of the faint grin on her face.

 

[Aerin]

Spotting Drapor she quickened her step and grabbed his arm, leading him into the shadows cast by the high walls. Reaching into her pack she held the disc between them and offered it to him. "There wasn't much but I found this. There's something... otherworldly about it. I can't work out the marking either, they look like some kind of foreign tongue. I can't make it out. It's strange, I feel drawn to it. I don't trust it one bit."

Elsa checked over her shoulder to make certain no one was watching them. Something about this whole situation was making her uncomfortable, that disc wasn't helping.

 

[Drapor]

Drapor grabbed the disc and looked at it. and pointed to he top left "Here is where it starts" Drapor said "You can get some rest and meet me infront of the Palace of Kings at 6 sharp" Drapor left in a instant excited to learn about this new peace in the puzzle

 

[Aerin]

Pursing her lips at the abrupt leaving Elsa rolled her eyes and headed back to the tavern. Booking a room she wandered past the patrons and quickly locked the door. Removing her armour Elsa finally collapsed onto the bed to fall into a fitful sleep, filled with images of twisted elves, dragons and the strange disc.

 

[Drapor]

As drapor left to his house outside windhelm he couldn`t stop looking at the disc. "The Lord leaves...." Drapor read "The kingdom falls......" Drapor walked in to his house and locked the door. He grabbed a peice of paper and wrote down "Chazlef Ruins Dragon Yongler is there to protect. Kingdom falls if the king is summoned" As he finished darpor fell asleep On his table.

 

[Aerin]

Dawn was streaking through the window when Elsa woke up. She quickly put on her armour and slipped her bow over her front. Grabbing an apple from her pack she made her way outside the tavern and towards the Palace of Kings. Seeking out a shadowy wall Elsa leant against the ice cold stone and watched for the vampire's approach. She couldn't help but wonder if he was hungry.

 

[Drapor]

Drapor woke up at 5:32 he got up and grabbed his bow and hunting knife. The stike of hunger hit him "I think i can wait" He whispered to himself He got up on his horse Frost and headed to windhelm. He saw the woman standing in the shadowy wall. The morning sun blinded him as he toppled over to the shadow "I found out the secret.." He grabbed the Paper and handed it to the woman "We need to go to Chazlef ruins, a dagon lerks there his name is yongler. He protects the Orb. "The Kingdom of tameriel will fall if the Orb is used" Drapor said. The women looked puzzled a bit honestly Drapor expected much.

 

[Aerin]

Elsa was toying with one of her daggers when Drapor showed up. The bright sunlight seemed to disorientate him for a moment before he filled her palm with a scrap of paper. Reading the hastily scrawled words she frowned. This was turning out like one of her da's stories. Who knew she'd end up playing the unlikely her.

As Drapor explained she looked at him skeptically, trying to wrap her head around all the information. But she was quick, smarter than she seemed to most and was soon forming questions in her head. "Okay, so this dragon Yongler...he protects the orb from being used. Are you scared he will use it? Because it seems like it would be safe being protected by a dragon. It's a dragon."
