Valin had fallen behind from Elgal and a vampire who had obviously known he was there. He was causing too much attention. The ranger had relaxed in the trees when he decided to continue his movement in the trees. It wasn't long until he felt the all to familiar feeling of an arrow in his right calf. Falling to the ground, he tried desperately to grab a branch.
Landing into a roll he snapped the end of the arrow off. He would have to deal with whoever this was fast, the arrow gave off a light blue smoke from the wound. It was silver. Another arrow flew from a bush hitting him in the left arm. He began to panic at the thought of hunters. Reaching into his back pocket, he pulled out a thin string made from individual blades of grass. He tied his arm off, stopping the silver from reaching his heart. Valin was struggling to stand up when the woman stepped out from a bush. Laughing in a way that only the hunters did, He was doubtless she was silver hand. Pointing her crossbow, she let loose the trigger. Valin had to act fast, he grabbed the arrow out of the arrow, snapping it. His mind restlessly began to assess the area around him. He wouldn't be able to aim the bow without his left arm, there's no way he could use his sword. The woman knelt next to him. Reacting as if it was second nature, he reached into his boot, pulling out a knife and stabbing it through the womans chest. He jerked up, killing her. With that, Valin gave himself permission to pass out, only to hear the sound of laughter and clapping before losing grip.
Valin awoke to find himself in a silver hand cage, stripped of his belongings. This cage was different than the ones he had been trapped in before. It was small, and the werewolves around him still clearly had their grip on reality. He grabbed the bars at the door. They stung, they were also silver. He looked over to the cage in front of him, not believing his eyes when he saw a familiar face.
"Dro' Mar!" Valin exclaimed, both happy and sad to see one of his closest friends. Dro' Mar was the alpha of a pack in elsewhere and had worked with Valin in the aldmeri dominion.
"Valin! I can't say that its very good to see you right now" The khajiit said in his usual comical way.
"What's going on here? Where are we?" Valin questioned
"The guards call it afterlife, they tell us that hircine cares nothing of us and that we will end up in a world just like this. They are capturing alphas of pack and torturing them to find others." The khajiit responded.
"Wait! Are our packs okay?" Valin asked
"Yes, they're fine, these guys aren't killing normal wolves just yet." The khajiit said in a hushed tone as a guard walked in.
The tall nord man turned his attention to Valin. Unlocking the door to Valin's cell. He pushed valin as the ranger walked out. Valin looked at Dro' Mar. Valin snapped around and pushed the man up against the cell of the khajiit by his shoulders. Valin flashed his eyes blue, intimidating the man. Putting his point across that no one pushed the alpha of the tall trees wolf pack around. The ranger was happy to see that Dro' Mar understood, and had taken the keys from the guards belt. As Valin and the nord walked down the hallway he nodded to the khajiit, signaling them to escape, and that Valin would keep everyone distracted in what was probably the torture room. As the nord stopped, taking a position as what looked to be a guard, Valin reached out, and calmly slammed his head against the wall, knocking him out so the the others could escape.
Valin stepped into the room and each arm was grabbed by some strong men. Valin bit a large chunk out of the arm of one, using his free arm to punch the other in the forehead with major strength. Valin stopped his rampage at the sight of a crossbow being aimed at his forehead. The ranger then sat down in the obvious torture chair, hoping that it wouldn't be too painful.
Valin was wrong though, they didn't want to hurt him physically, they wanted to drive him insane with sadness.
Valin now looked at the face of the man, only to see the face of evil in Valins eyes, Mithron Stormwatch. Valin tried to stand up at the sight of his so called half brother biting at the face of the altmer vampire.
"Come now Valin, our mother couldn't have possibly raised you with such manners. I know that our father didn't raise me as so." The vampire said, laughing at valin's lack of a parent
Valin said nothing, rather staring into the eyes of the most hated person in his life. The vampire grabbed a what turned out to be Valin's tunic off of a table.
"So this is the tunic of tall trees. Made from the skin of the werewolf that you hunted as I burned down your village." The vampire said.
"You be quiet! You killed innocent people that day! We agreed to help the thalmor, and you killed us for our way of life!" Valin yelled.
"Yea, I guess I did." The Altmer said, laughing as he dipped the tunic in a nearby fireplace.
"You must really hate fire in that case then, since you know, everyone you knew and loved burned to death." He said, twirling the burning tunic around Valin's head and then tossing it fully into the fireplace.
"You're a terrible, evil, man!" Valin yelled, hate overwhelming him, and the silver chains the only thing keeping him in human form.
"Ding, Ding, Ding! We have a winner! You're Right! I am evil! You see Valin, I know your biggest fear! It is a mixture between your life being out of your hands, and your Hircine forsaking you! So I am gonna trap you in a cell so small that when you transform you won't even be able to move, and we'll see if your god keeps you alive!" The Vampire said, just before smacking Valin over the head with his own bow, knocking Valin out.
Valin awoke in truly a cell that small, and so, by day Valin would beat at the walls, making them about and inch longer on each side every day, and communing with Hircine by night, howling and killing the rats that he would catch, eating them in the morning. This went on for quite some time, his howls the only thing that could ever save him, he could only hope someone would hear them.
